The FINANCIAL — The First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Georgia Nodar Kereselidze hosted Japanese Delegation, which was comprised of the Deputy Director of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Ono Shotaro and representatives of the Agency.
The importance of increasing qualification level of the Ministry of Agriculture employees under the frame of the regional development program through appropriate retraining courses -has been stressed by Mr. Kereselidze at the meeting. Thereby, apart from issues related to the regional development program Mr. Shotaro, Deputy Director of JICA expressed his interest in wine production and agro tourism development in Georgia.
Nodar Kereselidze paid a particular attention to the rural development program while introducing the representatives of the Agency with the main directions of the Agricultural Development Strategy. As the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture pointed out, wine production and agricultural development are priorities of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia.
Under the frame of the regional development program the workshop will be held for the Ministry of Agriculture employees and its agencies to discuss regional development issues, however, at the workshop the main focus will be paid to the ‘’One Village One Product’’ concept -was stressed at the meeting.
