The FINANCIAL — According to Tamar Chigogidze, General Director of Radio Sakartvelo, several new projects will soon be added to the programmes of stations united under radio broadcasting company Radio Sakartvelo, which already has more than 1 million listeners.
“2012 was a very successful year for our radio station. The company became stronger financially during this time. Despite hampers, the marketing department managed to strengthen its position on the market. Last year was filled with different innovations; we started working with new business partners. Our stations offered radio viewers many interesting projects including “Vacancy”. It is not a commercial project, with the help of the project Radio Fortuna listeners can find jobs. Already many people have been employed through the help of the project by Radio Fortuna and the company Hr.ge,” Chigogidze said.
“We just started the society-political talk show “Rakursi” with radio host Eka Saatashvili. Now every Thursday Radio Fortuna presents an analysis of the week’s most popular events. Last year the most popular radio shows were “Success Formula” and “Guest with Giga”. The high ratings of our shows are determined by the experience and high level of professionalism of our radio staff,” Chigogidze said.
“Radio Saqartvelo owns four national radio stations. We cover all age segments. The age of Radio Fortuna’s listeners starts from 25 and this is its segment. The age of Radio Fortuna Plus listeners is from 18-40. The age of Autoradio listeners starts from 25. Finally, Ar Daidardo is for all age segments and is currently the most popular radio station,” Chigogidze said.
According to Chigogidze, the company is managing to overcome the strong competition on the market and maintaining its leading status.
“Our company’s stability and the professionalism of our team are what make our radio competitive. The loyalty of our listeners keeps us in the leading position on the market,” Chigogidze said.
“At the moment we have diverse radio shows on all four of our stations. They are targeted at the tastes of their respective listeners and their demands. With its four stations Radio Saqartvelo holds more than a half of the market while the most significant share belongs to Radio Fortuna,” Chigogidze said.
“In 2013 we plan to start a new project – Rakursi. Some of the new entertainment projects are currently in the process of development. Our company offers the highest quality advertising directions. Our partner Production Group is exceptional in its great sense of professionalism and creativity. Each of the promo clips is oriented towards great results,” Chigogidze said.

The most popular radio station at Radio Saqartvelo is Ar Daidardo. The format of Ar Daidardo is modern Georgian songs, the best retro hits, old Georgian songs and celebratory music which is in great demand and has the highest ratings.
“It’s very important to develop the Georgian radio market, and we are taking part in that process. In the nearest future we plan to develop the quality of our radio shows and increase our listener audience,” Chigogidze said.
