The FINANCIAL — Oman Air is celebrating major success at the prestigious World Travel Awards 2015. For the second year in a row, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman has won the ‘World’s Leading Airline Economy Class 2015’ title. And in a move which confirmed the attention to detail for its premium customers, the airline’s lounge at Muscat International Airport was also named ‘World’s Leading Airport Lounge – Business Class 2015’.
The awards were presented at a dazzling red-carpet Gala Ceremony, held at the Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort in El Jadida, Morocco, on 12th December, according to Oman Air.
Welcoming the accolades, Oman Air’s Chief Executive Officer, Paul Gregorowitsch, said:

Oman Air’s fleet currently comprises 40 aircraft, including two B787 Dreamliners, one Boeing 737-700, 18 Boeing 737-800s, five Boeing 737-900s, four Airbus A330-200s, six Airbus A330-300s and four Embraer E175s. Each features spacious and comfortable Economy Class seating, with pitches varying between 30 and 34 inches, depending on the aircraft type.
Oman Air’s Business Class lounge at Muscat International Airport combines the ultimate in modern and elegant interior design with state-of-the-art materials and technology.
The lounge offers dedicated dining facilities, quiet rooms, men’s and women’s prayer rooms, wash and shower rooms, a business centre, and a spa with massage rooms, offering complimentary 15 minute treatments. Earlier this year, the lounge was included in Hipmunk’s list of ‘The Top 20 Airport Lounges in the World’.
