The FINANCIAL — Omni Hotels & Resorts announced on June 16 a partnership with Master Sommelier Fred Dexheimer, who will lend his expertise and extensive industry experience to enhance Omni’s wine footprint across properties in North America.
Dexheimer, an accomplished sommelier, mixologist and cocktail enthusiast, is one of only 147 professionals who have earned the title of Master Sommelier in North America. He will work with the luxury hotel brand to consult on wine lists, develop training programs and ensure that the wines offered by the glass at Omni properties remain one of the best in the industry, according to Omni Hotels & Resorts.
“What’s unique about Fred, in addition to bringing in a new perspective and fresh approach to our beverage program, is that he truly understands our customers – what they look for and expect when ordering a glass of wine,” said David Morgan, vice president, food & beverage for Omni Hotels & Resorts. “While we’ll continue to offer tried and true favorites, we’ll work more closely with Fred to explore lesser known varietals and blends that fit with our restaurant concepts and customer preferences, based on where they’re geographically located within the country.”
Dexheimer will also collaborate with Omni to enhance communication around wine to guests, customers and visitors. And, as a part of Omni’s unique banquet and catering offerings, Dexheimer will offer authentic wine tasting experiences to meetings and groups.

With a self-proclaimed mission to “make the world a better place to drink and to rock your wine world,” Dexheimer comes to Omni with a wealth of knowledge and well rounded understanding of the wine and beverage industry, having worked in New York City for over a decade in some of the city’s most notable bars and restaurants. He is also the founder of Juiceman Consulting, a wine and beverage consulting company that specializes in wine and cocktail list development, events, education and marketing.
