The FINANCIAL — HONG KONG. A man was slightly injured in another acid attack in a busy tourist area in downtown Hong Kong, local media reported on March 8.
A beer bottle containing corrosive liquid was cast down onto a pedestrian street in the district of Sham Shui Po, but luckily it shattered after falling on a roof of an electronics shop preventing a large number of casualties.
One man received slight burns from the spilled acid, but he refused from a hospital treatment.
This is the 12th acid attack in the city since December of 2008, which in all injured over 100 people.
