The FINANCIAL — Another Elvis American Diner branch will open its doors to Tbilisians and tourists in the coming days. According to company representatives Elvis has become very popular among Georgians in a very short period of time. As Vika Chikaidze, assistant to the General Manager of Elvis, says, more than 2,000 clients visit Elvis every day.
“Elvis American Diner was established in 1974 in Israel. In 2009 Elvis American Diner was opened in Georgia. Customers who visit Elvis American Diner can enjoy Elvis Presley music and the 60s style interior. Elvis was designed by a famous American designer. We have fast food on the first floor and on the second floor our clients can enjoy a proper restaurant. Elvis offers customers American, Thai and Italian cuisine,” Chikaidze said.
“The American menu includes hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken burgers, fish burgers, hotdogs, American pizza, and free Coca Cola. The Italian menu includes filets, escalope, ravioli, lasagna, tarteline, pasta, salads, and authentic Italian pizza. The Thai menu includes chicken and veal szechuan, fish and lobster soups, Thai salads, fish, chicken and veal dishes with different sauces, and very famous different sorts of sushi,” Elvis officials noted
“We serve the most delicious ice cream in Tbilisi. We import this ice cream from Italy ourselves where we have signed a contract with an Italian company. We have very big machines in Elvis where this ice cream is prepared. We offer clients 34 different flavours. For summer we have a special offer – delicious strawberry ice cream for just 7 GEL,” Chikaidze said.
From 11 o’clock to 4 o’clock there is a Business Lunch menu available which includes: hamburger+fries+drink for 7 GEL, Pizza+Salad+drink for 6 GEL, pasta+drink for 7 GEL, Thai food+2 garnishes+drink for 8 GEL, and a milkshake for just 3.5 GEL.
“We also have a free home delivery service. People can order different dishes from us and if the bill is 25 GEL or more, then the delivery is free. Every Saturday we have a live 60s music evening, when entrance is free and visitors can listen to live music. We have a special offer for this event whereby if someone buys 2 beers, they get the third one free,” Chikaidze said.
“We are planning to open a new Elvis branch in the very near future. We are in the process of choosing a location for the branch. The opening of these branches was determined by the popularity of the restaurant. Elvis was a very new thing for the local market, so it has become very popular among people in a very short period of time. Elvis is a foreign brand that offers people fast food as well as a restaurant in one building, which has made it popular and means we are very busy. The prices at Elvis are very affordable. Good service and attractive design are other reasons why people really enjoy being in Elvis,” Chikaidze said.
Elvis American Diner is a Jewish restaurant which exists in Israel. Currently negotiations are being held about opening an Elvis restaurant in New York.
“There is quite a small number of fast food restaurants in Tbilisi. Elvis is very special. People can get fast food here, listen to live music and get the highest level of service. I don’t think that McDonalds is our competitor because we are very different; we have three types of cuisine and also offer home delivery service which is not available at McDonalds,” Chikaidze said.
“We have corporate clients which use our delivery service as well. Many banks order meals from us for lunch, including TBC Bank, Bank of Georgia and Phillip Morris. We have many loyal corporate clients,” Chikaidze said.
“The most popular dishes in terms of home delivery are burgers and Thai food, whereas at the restaurant Italian dishes are the most popular. Steaks and escalope are some of our clients favourite dishes. There are some products which we buy on the local market but we also import from Israel. As I mentioned, the ice cream is imported from Italy,” Chikaidze said.
According to Chikaidze, the Mtatsminda Park Elvis branch offers people there real fast food. Children are the most frequent customers of the Mtatsminda branch and are very content with Elvis fast food.
“More than 50 people are employed at Elvis. One of the most important things for Elvis is our service quality. Our personnel are very well trained and always have good relations with the clients. They always welcome guests with attention and a warm smile. In general there is a very good atmosphere at Elvis,” Chikaidze told The FINANCIAL.
