The FINANCIAL — Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Natia Turnava studies the situation regarding the gasification process in the regions of Georgia – this time the Deputy Minister visited Guria.
Accompanied by the State Representative to Guria, Zurab Nasaraia, the MP Nino Tsilosani, the Socar Gas Georgia Director Azer Mammadov and Jaba Khmaladze, the Director General of the Georgian Gas Transportation Company, Natia Turnava visited the villages of Ozurgeti, Lanchkhuti and Chokhatauri. The delegation examined the ongoing gasification works in Guria region and participated in the official ceremony of gas lighting in the village of Dablatsikhe. In the framework of the visit, the traditional ceremony was also held in the villages of Japana and Tsvermaghala.
Natia Turunava met with the population in Japana and Lesa – the villages of the Lanchkhuti Municipality villages, Tsvermaghala village of the Ozurgeti Municipality and the village of Tamaztsikhe of the Chokhatauri Municipality and personally examined the ongoing works there. Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development also got familiar with the evaluation of the gasification process by the local citizens.
According to the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, all the remarks and requests by the population will be considered in the three-year plan.
Gasification Program of the Regions of Georgia is implemented by the State Gas Transportation Company together with the Socar Company.
Since 2013, the gasification process in Guria covered three municipalities, 66 villages and 36190 customers. Design and construction works within the gasification program has been accomplished in the villages of Japana, Kviani, Chkonagora, Cholobarga and Nigoeti of the Lanchkhuti Municipality. Within the framework of the project, 59905-meter pipeline was provided, which enabled 1145 customers to be involved in the natural gas network.
Design and construction works for gasification are also accomplished in the village of Tsvermaghala of the Ozurgeti Municipality. Within the framework of the project, 7902 long meter gas pipeline was installed, which provides involvement of 150 customers in the natural gas network.
In the village of Dablaktsikhe of the Chokhatauri Municipality, design and construction works for the gasification are also accomplished. Within the framework of the project, 26493 meters long pipeline that will give 377 customers the opportunity to be involved in the natural gas network.
At present, the works for the gasification are underway in 4 villages of Lanchkhuti Municipality: Zemo and Kvemo Chibati, Lesa and Aketi. 1287 households will be able to be involved into the natural gas network as a result of the gasification. The project will provide 83667 meters long pipeline.
Gasification works are also underway in 6 villages of the Chokhatauri Municipality: Bjolieti, Tsipnagvara, Khevi, Buksieti, Amaghleba and Trinity. As a result of the works, 842 households will be able to be involved in the natural gas network. Within the scope of the project, 70081 meters long pipeline will be built.
In 2019-2021, in accordance with the three-year plan, gasification works will be launched in 8 villages of the Guria Region and upon their completion, 2864 households will have access to the natural gas network.
