The FINANCIAL — The council of opposition initiates asking the International Monetary Fund to provide Ukraine with its loans only in case the use of the funds is monitored, chairman of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc faction Ivan Kyrylenko said at a conciliatory council of the Verkhovna Rada.
Kyrylenko noted that mass media publications and journalist investigations raise doubts as for proper use of the IMF funds.
He said that on Wednesday, November 17, the oppositional parties initiate open meeting of a core committee of the Verkhovna Rada to consider the issue.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, former prime minister-leader of the Batkivschyna All-Ukrainian Association Yulia Tymoshenko warned the IMF about possible use of IMF funds for repayment of the Naftohaz Ukrainy national joint-stock company debt to RosUkrEnergo, Switzerland.
