The FINANCIAL — Oracle continues to innovate and advance Oracle Application Integration Architecture’s (AIA) business process integration offerings and capabilities with the release of an updated Oracle AIA Foundation Pack 2.3, a new Oracle AIA Foundation Pack for Communications and six new out-of the box Oracle AIA Process Integration Packs (PIPs).

Designed to promote rapid deployment, re-usability and configurability of business processes, the enhanced Oracle AIA Foundation Pack 2.3 delivers newly added AIA Reference Process Models for business users including new content for communications and utilities industries as well as six new composite business flows in support of the new Oracle AIA PIPs. Release 2.3 also delivers new and enhanced Enterprise Business Objects and Services and developer productivity utilities including a new Application Business Connector Service Artifacts Generator, Composite Application Framework and XSLT Mapper Document Generator.
Oracle Application Integration Architecture Communications Foundation Pack is an industry-specific set of business objects and web services that provide the communications market a standardized way to simplify and reduce the time to deploy cross-application business process integrations. It provides a prebuilt architecture designed for re-usability and configurability, a communications specific business process model, Enterprise Business Objects (EBOs) and Enterprise Business Services (EBSs) that are compliant with the Telemanagement Forum SID standards.
Six New Oracle AIA Process Integration Packs (PIPs)
Process Integration Pack for Oracle Customer Hub – A collection of core activities and tasks required to support out-of-the-box Customer Master Data Management (MDM) integration scenarios across Oracle Customer Hub, Oracle’s Siebel CRM and Oracle E-Business Suite, as well as a framework to help reduce the time to deploy MDM integrations with a broad range of applications. Customer master data management PIP supports, synchronization of customer, account, contact and related entities and the merging of duplicate customer data can deliver further cost-savings and help lower total cost of ownership to organizations.
Process Integration Pack for Oracle Product Hub – A collection of core processes to support out-of-the-box Product MDM integration processes across Oracle Product Hub, Siebel CRM and Oracle E-Business Suite. With a new set of supporting publication services that leverage system and user defined business events and queries to help speed MDM implementation times, organizations can benefit from lower total cost of ownership and accelerated service-oriented architecture enablement.
Oracle CRM On Demand Integration Pack for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne: Lead to Order – A prebuilt integration that combines ease of use and rapid deployment capabilities of Oracle CRM On Demand with Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and can be easily extended to meet organizations’ unique requirements. Consolidated customer and product data, real-time synchronization of data, true 360-degree view of customers and a complete lead-to-order business flow enable improved sales team productivity and a seamless front and back-office user experience.
Oracle Retail Merchandising Integration Pack for PeopleSoft Enterprise Financials: Financial Operations Control – A pre-configured, supportable and upgradeable integration of retail merchandising execution applications with financial operation control applications. Supports financial operations control management with inventory valuation, revenue recognition and merchandising procure-to-pay, enabling organizations to increase operational productivity and financial control with a lower cost of ownership.
Oracle Financial Accounting Hub Integration Pack for PeopleSoft Enterprise General Ledger reduces the need for maintenance and processing of the organization's accounting rules in multiple source systems. It synchronizes the management of accounting rules and policies with PeopleSoft Enterprise General Ledger, the creation of uniform accounting flows based on diverse source system activity and generates accounting entries that are interfaced to the PeopleSoft Enterprise General Ledger.
Agile Product Lifecycle Management Integration Pack for SAP: Design to Release – A prebuilt integration that seamlessly integrates Oracle’s Agile Product Lifecycle Management to SAP ERP 4.6 and 6.0, while remaining configurable and extensible to meet unique process needs. Built using AIA’s re-usable components the Agile Design to Release PIP supports both Oracle E-Business Suite and SAP ERP on a single best practice business process that delivers seamless synchronization of product content between distributed engineering and manufacturing organizations and helps accelerate time to market for new products, while minimizing supply chain disruptions.
