The FINANCIAL — Overlaying science with the art of merchandising, Oracle Retail Allocation 13.3 uses embedded business intelligence analyzing input from multiple data sources to provide allocators with better insight and recommendations, according to Oracle.
The resulting dashboard reports and recommendations consider the entire lifecycle of a product and optimize allocations to speed inventory turn and protect margins.
Oracle Retail Allocation 13.3 adopts a modern Java interface that employs product images rather than just the SKU number or product name, which helps accelerate the allocation process while encouraging better visibility and control over inventory allocation to stores, according to Oracle.
The allocation solution also delivers role-based dashboards that allow users to start the day with the information that is most important to them and take immediate action. For example, the allocator can view a report on their dashboard, click on it to see more details and launch an allocation that is prefilled with information from the report.
Merchandising System and Oracle Retail Assortment Planning and Size Profile Optimization, the allocation solution promotes shared visibility across key retail business teams and creates more fluid and efficient merchandising, supply chain, marketing and inventory management decisions.
“Oracle impressed us with its very functional and easy-to-use Oracle Retail Allocation capability. This application leverages Oracle Fusion Middleware technology and templates to speed effective distributions and allocations, and it also integrates to Oracle Assortment Planning and Size Profile Optimization,” said Greg Girard, Program Director for Merchandise Strategies, IDC Retail Insights. “Underneath the covers, Oracle is enabling better process and data flows and better process orchestration, supporting better decision processes, more effective use of resources, and higher levels of productivity,” he added.
