The FINANCIAL — Australian lifestyle brand Oroton has opened its new boutique at Sydney Airport’s T1 International terminal.
Synonymous with accessible luxury, casual glamour and Australian style, Oroton takes its place in the new T1 fashion precinct, showcasing an extensive range of women’s and men’s leather goods, accessories, jewellery, travel essentials and apparel.
Sydney Airport General Manager Retail Glyn Williams said he was delighted to welcome the return of one of Australia’s most-loved brands to T1.
“It’s fantastic to see this iconic Australian brand at Sydney Airport again and we know passengers will enjoy the new Oroton experience, as we deliver a retail mix to suit our evolving passenger demographic,” Mr Williams said.
Oroton CEO and Managing Director Mark Newman said Sydney Airport was the ideal location for its new boutique, according to Sydney Airport.
“We are thrilled to open our latest concept boutique at T1. Oroton is an Australian brand with a rich heritage, so it’s a natural fit to have a strong presence at Australia’s gateway airport,” Mr Newman said.
The 114m2 store interior pays homage to the brand’s stylish simplicity, coupled with a sophisticated design fit-out. Breccia Violetta marble and raw concrete finishes breathe new life into the refurbished store, while the exterior boasts a stunning illuminated, eight-metre high façade.
Sydney Airport is the only airport in Australia to house Oroton, which joins a line-up of 13 global designer brands in the T1 fashion precinct, including Tiffany & Co., Emporio Armani, Hugo BOSS, Kate Spade New York, Max Mara, Michael Kors, TUMI and Burberry, with Gucci to launch in 2017.
The fashion precinct occupies 1,900m2, and forms part of Sydney Airport’s strategy to deliver a superior airport experience for passengers.
Oroton is located after customs, alongside premium dining precinct, City View, and a superior duty free offering with partner HEINEMANN Tax & Duty Free.
