The FINANCIAL — Philippine Airlines (PAL) has opened three new routes out of Davao – a boost to the flag carrier’s domestic route expansion program, this time from Mindanao.
On November 1st, PAL launched the Davao-Tagbilaran and Davao-Cagayan de Oro service, marking the re development of Davao as another hub of PAL operations, according to PAL.
PAL now flies Tagbilaran four times a week, leaving Davao at 12:05 noon of Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday; and to Cagayan de Oro daily departing 10:40 AM.
Today (November 2nd), PAL opened a new route to Zamboanga, departing Davao 12:05 noon. The Davao-Zamboanga service operates every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.
Utilized on the three new routes are PAL’s next-generation, 86-seater Bombardier Q400, the world’s first turboprop with premium economy seats and features the most quiet cabin comparable to jet aircraft.
More new inter-island routes will be introduced in December to enable holiday travelers convenient direct flights to their destinations without passing through Manila.
