The FINANCIAL — According to Civil Georgia, political groups running in the May 21 parliamentary elections will unveil full party-lists and majoritarian MP candidates by Monday evening – when the deadline for the submission of MP candidates to the Central Election Commission expires.
Meanwhile, the Georgian daily Rezonansi published on April 21 a non-scientific public opinion survey. The newspaper said that 800 randomly selected respondents in Tbilisi, contacted by phone, had been asked which political group they were likely to vote for. According to the newspaper, 32.3% of respondents said they were undecided. 21.3% said they would vote for the ruling National Movement party; 17% – the nine-party opposition bloc; 6.1% – the Republican Party; 4.6% – the Labor Party and 4.3% – the Christian-Democratic Party; 8.8% refused to answer and 1.1% said they would not vote at all, according to Rezonansi.
