The FINANCIAL — The joint promotion by People’s Bank and Visa International has come to an end and the winner’s name has been revealed.
Temur Kipshidze is the lucky winner who will be paying a visit to Beijing and presenting the opening of the Summer Olympic Games there.
For one month from April 20 to May 31 owners of People’s Bank’s Visa Electron cards were encouraged to make lots of different transactions as the first to complete over 10 transactions would be able to attend Beijing’s Summer Olympic Games.
“Around nine thousand people participated in this promotion. We didn’t choose the winner according to his expenditure, that wasn’t our aim, it was a lottery. For us, it made no difference who won, but we are glad to hear that Temur Kipshidze is actually very fond of sport and as far as I know is a doctor of the Georgian National Basketball league,” David Didbaridze, Director of People’s Bank, told The FINANCIAL.

“I’m such a pessimistic man, but I really wanted to get this tourist voucher so much,” said Kipshidze.
David Didbaridze suggested the winner take pictures in Beijing, which can later be used for his own plastic Photo Card design.
According to Didbaridze, People’s Bank’s and VISA staff aren’t able to participate in such projects.

People’s Bank is already working on a new project which is soon to be launched.
