The FINANCIAL — A new diversified portfolio, acquisition of natural gas distribution companies, increased paid taxes to the state budget, corporate responsibility development and exploitation of a large terminal in West Georgia are just part of the news Wissol offered to its customers in 2007 and at the beginning of 2008.
Last month Wissol offered renovated plastic cards for its corporate clients. The company pioneered the chip-based card for its corporate clients to the Georgian market in 2001 and with 8 years of experience of serving corporate clients with plastic cards the company has released 8,000 corporate cards already. The card offers an up to 5% discount.
“Our major principle is to maximize the consumer satisfaction level. The company serves 30-35,000 people daily,” Nino Jgamadze, Head of the Plastic Card and IT Department, told The FINANCIAL.
“The Pirveli Card project is the most significant achievement of the year 2007. The loyalty schemes are common and well-known abroad and are considered meaningful encouragement to our valuable customers. We had studied all cases and products offered on the Georgian market and in neighbouring countries and did our best to develop a scheme reflecting the interests and habits of our customers.
“In present prices, the benefit gained while using Pirveli Card varies around a 10 tetri discount per litre. Since last year we have been collaborating with the Russian company New Computer Technologies. This company provides software for the Loyalty Program and Corporate Cards Services as well. Of course we faced several problems while adapting the program. It was due to the specifics of Georgian consumers’ mentality, their motivation base, habits, etc. We tailored the existing scheme to the specific needs and demands of our customer base. The readiness of our partners to provide day-to-day support cannot be underestimated. But the most valuable asset was our staff whose dedication was the key factor in the project’s success.”
Q. How attractive is the discount scheme Wissol offers to its loyal customers?
A. The scheme we finally suggested contains three levels of discount depending on the amount of fuel consumed in the previous month: for those who consume at least 100 litres, the Pirveli Card provides a 3% discount on all types of fuel; if the card owner consumes from 301 up to 500 litres, the discount is 4% and if consuming over 500 litres, the discount gained is 5%. Thus our loyal customer has an up to 10 tetri discount per litre. When the fuel prices today rise compared to in October when we introduced our program, the project is justified by the Pirveli Card slogan “Be Loyal and Get More”!
