The FINANCIAL — The Ukrainian Parliament has adopted a new law ratifying an agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Poland on the allocation of € 100 million to develop border road infrastructure, purchase equipment for border check points and implement other border-related projects, reports the Eastern Partnership Panel for Migration and Asylum.
According to the agreement between the two countries, the crediting period will last 30 years with an interest rate of 0.15%. The amount of commodities procured from Poland within the framework of implementation of the project shall make up at least 60%.
The Eastern PartnershipPanel for Migration and Asylum serves to strengthen the asylum and migration systems of Eastern Partnership countries and advance their dialogue on migration and asylum issues with the EU. The Panel organises policy discussions and expert workshops that cover the six Eastern Partnership countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, according to EU Neighbourhood Info.
