The FINANCIAL — Poland’s annual inflation rate eased slightly in May, as food prices declined on the month and fuel prices rose, statistics office GUS said on June 15, according to Nasdaq.
The consumer price index in May was down 0.9% on the year, after a 1.1% decline in April. Economists polled by The Wall Street Journal had expected the CPI to be down 0.7% in May.
The CPI was unchanged in May from the previous month.
Fuel prices rose 1.3% in May from April, while food and beverage prices were 0.2% lower and energy prices dropped 0.1%.
