The FINANCIAL — Police officers on August 14 arrested three residents of Lviv region on suspicion of stealing a carpet from the building of the Stryi district court in Lviv region during the court session.
A representative of the Lviv regional office of the Ministry of Interior Affairs has told this to Ukrainian News.
According to the representative of the regional police department, the three locals came to the district court to take part in the consideration of a case.
In the building of the district court they saw a carpet which they liked very much.
Since the court session was protracted, the three local residents decided to take and sell the carpet before the court session would end.
They rolled up the carpet and carried it to a place where they could sell it.
However, in a short time employees of the district court noticed the disappearance of the carpet and phoned to the local police station.
Police arrested the suspects while they were carrying the carpet in hands in the streets of the town.
They told the police they had taken the carpet to clean it and return back to the court.
The police officers say although the explanation from the suspects amused them very much, they arrested the suspects.
Police plan to submit the case on the steal of the carpet to that very district court for consideration.
