The FINANCIAL — The Polish economy grew 3.4% in annual terms in the third quarter, the statistics office said on November 13, slightly above expectations, according to Nasdaq.
Seasonally adjusted growth was at 0.9% in the third quarter versus the second quarter.
Manufacturing output, which grew 4.3% in annual terms in the third quarter, was one of the main drivers of growth, said Janusz Witkowski, head of the Polish statistics office.
The growth rate in the fourth quarter may be slightly higher than a year earlier, he said. The Polish economy grew 3.7% in annual terms in the fourth quarter of 2014.
The statistics office expects the Polish economy to grow “much above 3%” in 2015, said Mr. Witkowski.
