The FINANCIAL — Polish consumers expect the country's consumer price inflation to be 4.3% over the next 12 months, the National Bank of Poland said Monday, citing its April survey.
According to Borsa Italiana – London Stock Exchange Group, the survey of expectations was conducted when the official consumer price index for February–which showed inflation eased to 4.0% from 4.1% in January–was available to the survey's respondents.
Polish consumers' April expectations on inflation edged up from the 4.2% inflation they expected in March.
Earlier in April, the Polish statistics office GUS said annual inflation eased to 3.9% in March.
