The FINANCIAL — Porter Airlines is one of the Best International Airlines according to Condé Nast Traveler’s 2015 Readers’ Choice Awards. It secured ninth place among 20 global airlines and was the only carrier in the Americas to make the list. U.S. airlines are ranked separately.
“The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are a benchmark for travel excellence,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “Porter is the smallest airline to be recognized and it is a remarkable achievement to be listed alongside global brands flying long-haul routes. We are proud to represent Canada on this list.”
Porter is well known for offering complimentary snacks, beer, wine and other amenities to all passengers, providing a premium experience to every customer. Porter’s is based at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, conveniently located minutes from the heart of downtown, according to Porter Airlines.
“We look forward to our continued growth and the ability to bring the Porter experience to more passengers in the future,” said Deluce. “This award shows we can continue to grow, while maintaining key benefits that passengers love about our airline.”
This year 128,000 travelers took part in the 28th annual Readers’ Choice Awards survey; the most in its history. Readers submitted millions of ratings and thousands of comments to help create the list of winners.
