The FINANCIAL — Prada opens its third store in Macau, China, inside the prestigious ‘Galaxy’ mall.
The space, designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, covers a total area of approximately 930 square metres spread over two floors, and houses the women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories and footwear collections, according to Prada.
The façade inside the mall, which stands two stories tall, is clad in black Marquinia marble and is embellished with slim polished steel profiles framing the windows and light boxes.
The two entrances on the ground floor lead to display areas exclusively dedicated to the women’s collections.
The first space hosts the women’s leather goods collection and is characterised by the signature black-and-white marble chequered flooring – a legacy of Prada’s identity worldwide – and green fabric-clad walls with alcoves exalting the product display, an original reinterpretation of Prada’s iconic display niche.
The area dedicated to the women’s accessories and small leather goods collections is defined by black marble-clad walls and polished steel display counters with drawers covered in coloured saffiano leather.
Green fabric-clad walls with Prada’s iconic cut-in display niches, beige carpeting and green velvet sofas characterise the space dedicated to the women’s footwear collection.
