The FINANCIAL — President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko claims that every day he carries out consultations on forming a parliamentary coalition.
He said this in an interview to TV 5 Kanal in the evening of Nov 23.
“I hold these consultations every day”, the President said.
According to him, it’s very important that the Verkhovna Rada resume its work.
“I do my best to carry out the consultations to find the most optimal way out of the parliamentary crisis”, he noted.
“But if this dialog yields no result, I would not like it to become a fatal condition”, Victor Yushchenko said, adding that in this case, a snap parliamentary election will be held.
At the same time, he believes the most probable scenario is that a coalition will be formed by the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko, the Party of Regions, and the Communist Party.
However, he noted, the Party of Regions is not satisfied with this decision “due to certain very serious reasons”.
Speaking about eventual changes after the snap poll, the President said that the main players will probably remain, but their status will be equal. “They will start from zero –the parliament, the coalition, and the government”, Victor Yushchenko stressed.
