The FINANCIAL — President of Georgia, H.E. Giorgi Margvelashvili has held a meeting with Jamestown Foundation board members, Glen Howard, Matthew Bryza, Vladimir Socor, Willem de Vogel, Jon Utley, William Utley, Michael Kavoukjian and Alden Wahlstrom at the Presidential Palace to discuss current challenges facing Georgia and security environment in the region.
President Margvelashvili has assessed his visit to the United States, highlighting the importance of Georgia Support Act. He believes that active promotion of Georgia and the country’s problems in the US political groups and think tanks is crucial, according to the Administration of the President of Georgia.
Conversation also touched upon Georgia’s territorial integrity and Russia’s aggressive policy aiming at annexing Georgian territories. President Margvelashvili has briefed board members on the latest developments and overall situation in the occupied territories of Georgia.
