The FINANCIAL — “Serbia supports Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, European aspirations and promotes development of Georgia-Serbia bilateral cooperation”, said Ana Brnabić, Prime Minister of Serbia at the meeting with Giorgi Margvelashvili, President of Georgia.
The meeting focused on prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation and intensification of high-level exchange visits. President Margvelashvili believes that Ana Brnabić’s visit will give a new impetus to advancement of Georgia-Serbia relations, taking the initiative to open the Embassy of Serbia to Tbilisi.
Georgia’s occupation, recurrent cases of human rights violation in the occupied territories and nearby areas and current security challenges have also been discussed at the meeting.
While discussing Georgia’s European integration, President Margvelashvili has underscored the importance of learning from Serbia’s experience in this regard.
Ana Brnabić, emphasizing the friendly ties between Georgia and Serbia and willing to further strengthen them, has shown interest in Georgia’s successful economic reforms that lay a foundation for further advancement of business relations between the two countries.
