The FINANCIAL — As part of his working visit to Brussels, the President of Georgia, H.E. Giorgi Margvelashvili has held a meeting with the Chair of the European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr. David McAllister. The meeting focused on Georgia-EU agenda and Georgia’s future European perspectives.
President Margvelashvili has shown concern for the tragic death of a Georgian soldier in the occupied territory of Georgia. As underlined, the European Parliament is willing to adopt another resolution about Georgia on the 10th anniversary of Russian occupation.
President Margvelashvili has thanked McAllister for the firm support that Georgia has been receiving from the European lawmakers in the European integration process. He has also briefed McAllister on the measures taken by the Government of Georgia to eliminate violation of the visa and asylum policies, according to the Administration of the President of Georgia.
The meeting has also been attended by the Advisor of President Margvelashvili for Foreign Affairs, Tengiz Pkhaladze and Ambassador Extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Kingdom of Belgium and Grand Duchy of Luxemburg and Head of the Georgian mission to the European Union, Natalie Sabanadze.
