The FINANCIAL — Turkey opens the doors of its universities for international students from all around the world, including Georgia, with “Türkiye Scholarships”.
“Türkiye Scholarships” is a fully funded education opportunity for successful international students in both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes of Turkey’s 105 universities in 55 cities.
Including both scholarship and university placement at the same time, where applicants are placed in a university and programme of their preferences as identified during the interviews held in their home countries, “Türkiye Scholarships” cover the following:
Monthly allowance (600 TL for undergraduate, 850 TL for master and 1200 TL for PhD )
Full tuition fee
Free one year Turkish language course
Free accommodation
Round-trip air ticket
Health insurance
As one of the most comprehensive programme of its kind in the world, “Türkiye Scholarships” not only provides a high-quality education enabling new perspectives and abilities to build succesful careers, but also helps create a better understanding among thousands of students coming from different parts of the world.
Indeed, in 2015 alone, within the framework of this program, scholarships are provided to 15.000 students from 182 countries, including 60 from Georgia. Overall, 402 Georgian students in total have so far benefited from “Türkiye Scholarships” and an additional 142 are currently continuing their education in various Turkish universities.
Applications for this year’s “Türkiye Scholarships” have started on 29 February 2016 and will continue until 31 March 2016. Applications are free and can be made through the following website: www.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr. More detailed information can also be found at this website.
