The FINANCIAL — Convenient new drop-boxes that enable clients to deposit money into their current accounts quickly and safely as well as cash-in ATMs, that make it possible to make cash deposits to a client’s account, are innovative banking solutions being offered by ProCredit Bank Georgia to its clients. The main goal of the instalment of its advanced services at 24/7 Zones was to offer faster and easier services. Progressive banking solutions will be implemented at all of the branches of ProCredit Bank Georgia by the end of the current year.
“If you look at technologies that have been working in other banks you will see that it is mainly concentrated on a simple ATM where you can withdraw small amounts of money. It is concentrated on so-called pay boxes where you can deposit very small amounts of money. Many people have experienced that it is quite a bit of trouble to pay a thousand Lari into a pay box. It takes quite a long time. So, the new technologies that we are implementing make all of these transactions easier. It is a cash-in ATM that allows you to quickly and easily deposit a big bundle of money, and it is available for all of our normal retail clients. Then we have a drop box. It is especially available for business clients who need to deposit on a regular basis large sums of money. The most important thing is that this is a self-service area that is open 24/7. So, consumers can do all operations whenever they need to,” said Asmus Rotne, General Director at PoCredit Bank Georgia.
“We will implement these services in all of the branches by the end of the year,” Rotne said.
The drop-boxes enable clients to deposit money into their current accounts quickly and safely, and the deposit is automatically credited to the account upon completion of the operation.
The drop-boxes are especially convenient for business clients, because they can have representatives of the company as well as third persons (distributors, dealers) deposit large sums of money into their accounts in a comfortable environment 24 hours a day.
The drop-boxes are easy to use. Clients simply put the desired sum in a special package, select the account into which they wish to deposit the money on the device screen, enter the amount on screen and put the package into the drop-box. The sum will automatically be credited to the indicated account.
Rotne believes that this new service will be useful for their business clients, who often have to deposit money into their accounts several times per day. “We know how precious their time is, so our equipment was designed to fit their needs: The drop-boxes are fast, flexible, convenient and of course safe.”
Unlike standard ATMs, which only allow clients to make cash withdrawals, cash-in ATMs make it possible to make cash deposits to a client’s account. At the same time, clients have the opportunity to view their account balance and recent transactions.
One of the main advantages of the new ATM is its speed – it is not necessary for clients to feed notes into the ATM one by one, as up to 50 notes can be processed at one time. The ATM only takes GEL notes; however if USD or EUR notes are deposited into the account, they are converted automatically.
