The FINANCIAL — Qatar Airways continued its busy 2009 calendar of international exhibitions by participating at the prestigious Business Travel Show in London.
Earls Court Exhibition Centre was the venue for the three-day event, Europe’s leading industry show for anyone who buys or manages company travel, books business trips or sources meeting venues.Â
Alongside representatives from the world’s leading travel suppliers, Qatar Airways showcased its award-winning long-haul Business Class product, with a state-of-the-art stand featuring the spacious Airbus A340-600 and A330 premium seat operated on flights between the UK and Doha, the airline’s hub.
According to Qatar Airways, throughout the show, key members of the UK and European team had the opportunity to network with corporate clients, key business travel agents and the media, as well as showcase Qatar Airways’ award-winning hospitality.
In December, Qatar Airways was voted world’s leading Business airline at the prestigious World Travel Awards, the latest accolade in its short history.
Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker said: “During the current economic times, more and more corporates are looking for greater value for money from suppliers. Qatar Airways’ London-based Senior Manager Europe Paul Johannes said: “The Business Travel Show was a huge success as it provided us with a perfect platform to build new, and renew relationships with the travel trade and key industry decision makers.”
Qatar Airways operates an extensive European network, including 42 services a week from the UK to Doha – flying from London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Manchester. All flights operated from the UK feature a fully interactive entertainment system offering hundreds of channels of audio and video entertainment, including live television across all classes of travel.
With a fleet of 66 Airbus and Boeing aircraft, Qatar Airways operates to 83 destinations worldwide from its operational hub of Doha, capital of the State of Qatar.
