The FINANCIAL — A memorandum of cooperation between LEPL Innovation and Technology Agency at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Information Technology Center Mziuri and Company Omedia was signed.
The document was signed by Irakli Kashibadze Chairman at Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency, Giorgi Todria, director at Information Technology Center Mziuri and Nodar Davituri, Director at Omedia. On the basis of the memorandum, the sides will establish an innovation laboratory, according to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
The laboratory aims to train high-qualified staff equipped with practical knowledge at an early stage. They will be able to be employed at highly paid positions or to start their own high-technology business activities.
Innovation laboratory is a project that envisages cooperation between company and education institution in the field of education. The laboratory is equipped with modern technologies that are used by students to create and develop new, innovative projects. The partner company of the laboratory will provide the teaching process with the tasks oriented towards the market requirements.
Besides, according to the achieved agreement, various events, seminars, master classes, trainings and competitions, including the so-called hackathons will be held on the basis of the laboratory.
This will be the fifth innovation laboratory that will be established through the support of Innovation and Technology Agency at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
