The FINANCIAL — Candles, music, a magician’s show, splendid food and prizes for the luckiest guests – is how Radisson BLU Iveria Hotel celebrated its one year anniversary with its top clients.
Radisson BLU Iveria has hosted more than 35,000 guests in the first year of its operations in Georgia.
“Over 35,000 guests have stayed with us at the Radisson since we opened and guest satisfaction is quite high. We finished our first year in 7th position out of 300 Rezidor hotels. We have a lot of guests leaving us happy and willing to come back. Moreover, we have already seen many guests return,” declared Atakan Turhan, General Manager of Radisson BLU Iveria Hotel.
Key company and organization representatives including Turkish Airlines, Coca Cola, TAV Urban, Imperial Tobacco, Lek Pharmaceutical, Airzena, CaspiGeo, Batumi Oil Terminal as well as embassy representatives of Germany, Italy, the UK, Danish Consulate, EUMM and GTZ attended the evening.
“At today’s event we are celebrating the end of one successful year with our top clients. When I say clients, I mean friends, because we have built up very good relations and would like to thank them for their contribution and for their support. A significant amount of work went in to what we have done and the result is very satisfactory,” added Turhan.
At its one year celebration Radisson’s guests picked papers from baskets where the names of presents or life phrases were written. The luckiest ones were given gifts of a Sunday Brunch for the family, weekend spa escape, one year golden membership to the Anne Semonin Spa, and from Turkish Airlines – a Flight to Spain for the Barcelona vs. Valencia football match.
“Batumi Oil Terminal has very good cooperation with Radisson. What is special about the hotel is its excellent location, beautiful spa, service and nice atmosphere,” declared Charlotte Emborg, International Affairs and PR Manager at Batumi Oil Terminal.
“We frequently have people staying here, when we have guests from other offices or guests from around the world, high officials and VIPs always stay here,” added Emborg.
“Davidoff and Radisson are two popular brands in Georgia as well as in the whole world. Our clients as well as the clients of Radisson are successful people associated with business as well as art, and fall in the same category range, with the age group of 30-60 years,” said Nikoloz Garsonishvili, Representative of Imperial Tobacco.
Garsonishvili believes the visitors of the hotel are attracted by the distinguishable quality and service Radisson has in Georgia as well as throughout the world.
“The terrace is very popular among guests, especially in the summer. The spa is an international brand – Anne Semonin is very popular. Tbilisi cannot be seen better than from the Oxygen Bar at the top of the building. It has the best view and is quite popular too. At the Surface Bar I see lots of business meetings taking place, it is a place that businessmen meet, discuss agreements and business. Moreover, I see that the Casino is very often busy too,” declared Turhan.
Turhan says that being in Georgia is special for them. “This is our first hotel and it is a big responsibility. I believe that a lot of the guests that have stayed at the Radisson have left Georgia with good memories of their overall stay in the country,” declared Turhan.
“Iveria had a lot of history and it was a big responsibility to open this hotel as the Radisson BLU Iveria Hotel. This building has a great history and our job is to make sure that its future is as great as its past,” Turhan added.
“Guests at the Radisson are attracted by its good central location, the building, view, and service. We are the number one hotel in tripadvisor.com out of the business hotels in Tbilisi. It is often through word of mouth that people come to stay with us. Moreover, the variety of services we provide, like the spa, terrace, Filini restaurant, and casino, are not available at other hotels. This is attractive for people who stay at hotels,” declared Turhan.
“We also aim to be helpful to the community we are operating in, this is part of the concept we call Responsible Business.
We have supported environmental social events as much as we can. We have a project with the Red Cross where we have supported the First Step Foundation. We have special relationships with houses for the elderly and provide them with food on a constant basis. We have supported many projects which we believe are special projects that can help the community,” added Turhan.
