The FINANCIAL — According to caterersearch, the Real Hotel Company has opened its first Purple hotel in Scotland near Glasgow Airport.
The “premium budget” hotel has 103 rooms, which are available from £59 per night.
Real is positioning its fledgling budget brand as an affordable but stylish alternative to industry giants Travelodge and Premier Inn’s offers.
Each room is equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a flat-screen television as well as large walk in shower.
Iain Hamilton, general manager of the hotel, said: “The hotel will bring a new dimension to the market place with its no frills chic style providing clients with everything they need and nothing they don't need. You get a huge amount of room for not very much expenditure."
The first Purple hotel launched in Braintree, Essex last December and there are now eleven hotels operating under the Purple brand.
