The FINANCIAL — Roland Buerk, formerly Tokyo Correspondent for BBC News, will join Nissan Motor Co. Ltd in mid-July to launch a multi-media channel by Japan's No.2 automaker.
According to Nissan, he will serve as Executive Producer and Presenter with the Nissan Global Media Center, and act as official Asian liaison to the Renault-Nissan Alliance communications team in content coordination and production.
Leveraging his experience at the BBC, the world's largest broadcast organization, Buerk will help create entertaining and provocative narratives for the new media channel, as well as for the Renault-Nissan Alliance in Asia.

At the BBC, Buerk covered among other stories the 2004 Asian Tsunami, as well as the impact of the March 2011 disasters in Japan.
Earlier, he worked for broadcaster ITN from 1995 until joining the BBC.
