The FINANCIAL — Rompetrol Georgia continues implementation of special programs for orphan and socially vulnerable children.
The company has provided the Golden Sponsorship and contributed considerable funds to orphan children as part of the international children festival Happy Childhood (Caucasiada 2010), which was organized at the Triumph Concert hall on March 6.
“Rompetrol Georgia considers the concern for children as a mainstream of its policy. Therefore, we were pleased to take part in the festival organization to support orphan children. This was not the first similar project. The company has developed a special platform, under which in 2009 we organized a larges-scale project of We Paint Romeptrol to assist orphan and socially vulnerable children. We plan to carry out more significant projects in 2010. Based on the last year’s experience, the company has decided to make the project of We Paint Rompetrol as a tradition”, Tamar Kozmava, director for the Romeptrol Georgia PR and Marketing Department, said.
The project of We Paint Rompetrol was conducted all over Georgia in summer 2009. The campaign with the motto “Become Painter and Paint Rompetrol” was launched in Tbilisi and then moved to Gori, Kutaisi, Batumi and ended in the Vake Square. Over 6 000 paintings were collected, exhibited and sold during the campaign. The collected funds were transferred to the account of orphan children. During the campaign famous painter Zaal Sulakauri and masters of his studio conducted painting lessons for children. Moreover, presents and diplomas were handed over to the children.
As to the festival of happy Childhood, 2000 children of a number of children’s houses from all over Georgia will attend the event, including the children from the war victim regions. The collected funds will be transferred to children’s houses and orphan children. All of them will receive presents and take part in entertaining program.
