The FINANCIAL — The main objective in 2011/12 MY is stimulating of grain exports from Russia, stated Andrei Sizov Sen., General Director of the Analytical Center SovEcon, on July 14 during the Analytical forum in Kiev.
According to the expert, in order to reach the goal the Government plans to impose the export subsidies. In the current season the Government is likely to support the exports of grains through imposition of the preferential tariffs for railway transportation of grains to the port elevators.
The specialist noted that the Government also considered the possibility of imposing the compensation of 30-35 USD/t of exported grains as the alternative together with the preferential tariffs to support exports. However, according to A.Sizov, the measure still would not be introduced.
While speaking about the potential of grain exports, the expert noted that in order to increase the supply volumes of Black Sea wheat on foreign markets in the following 10-15 years, the single futures should be administered, as well as Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan should work together to improve the infrastructure and logistics.
