The FINANCIAL — Grain purchasing interventions in the Russian Federation will become relevant in the current year because of present forecasts for the relatively high production volumes, said Andrew Klepach, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia, on August 5.
According to preliminary estimations of experts, in 2011 the harvest volumes is expected to exceed the level of 92 mln tonnes of grains. It is quite understandable that there will be pressure on prices. Therefore, the ossue of realizing the grain interventions in 2011 will be crucial, said A.Klepach.
According to him, the process of grain purchasing interventions is already known, its mechanism is worked out long ago, so no problems should arise.
