The FINANCIAL — Unemployment in Russia amounted to 5.2 million people or 6.8 percent of the workforce in June 2010, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said on July 19, according to RIA Novosti.
State employment services have registered 1.9 million people, including 1.6 million people getting redundancy payments, the service said.
In June 2010, the Russian workforce stood at 76.2 million people or about 54 percent of the total population.
