The FINANCIAL — Ryanair on November 7 announced it would extend its connecting flights service to Porto Airport from 3rd January 2018, providing Ryanair customers with an expanded route choice, and the opportunity to book and transfer directly onto connecting Ryanair flights.
– Transfer ‘airside’ between connecting flights without having to go ‘landside’
– Checked-in baggage transferred through to their final destination
– One booking reference for both flights
This connecting service is the latest initiative delivered under Year 4 of Ryanair’s “Always Getting Better” programme, including a personalised Ryanair.com website, a new Ryanair Rooms website, a dedicated Chinese Ryanair website, Ryanair Tickets, Apple Pay integration, long haul Air Europa flights on sale on Ryanair.com and a new partnership with the Erasmus Student Network, according to Ryanair.
In Portugal, Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer Kenny Jacobs said:
“Ryanair is pleased to extend our connecting flights service to Porto Airport from 3rd January 2018, allowing customers to book connecting Ryanair flights on the lowest fares at one of our four popular Portuguese bases. Starting with an initial 20 new routes, customers will be able to transfer onto their next flight without having to go landside, and have their bags checked through to their final destination.
To celebrate the launch of the connecting flights we have released 10,000 seats for sale from Porto from just €9.99 for travel between November 2017 and January 2018 which are available for booking until midnight Friday (10 Nov). Since these amazing low fares will be snapped up quickly, customers should log onto www.ryanair.com and avoid missing out.”
