The FINANCIAL — According to Civil Georgia, Russia and Georgia have “actually agreed on everything” in relation to Russia’s WTO membership, President Saakashvili said in an interview with the Russian daily Kommersant, published on March 31.
He said that Georgia had received a letter from the Russian Ministry of Economy expressing Moscow’s readiness to open a joint customs checkpoint at the border with breakaway South Ossetia.
Unlike in previous comments on the matter, the president failed to mention a possible joint customs checkpoint on the border with breakaway Abkhazia.
