Featuring two washers in one, and two dryers in one, FlexWash washer and FlexDry dryer usher in a new era in which the laundry appliance adapts to the needs of today’s modern family, instead of the family having to force-fit its needs to the machine.
FlexWash + FlexDry provide an unprecedented amount of flexibility to let you do multiple cycles at the same time, so you can keep a wide variety of clothes in great condition. Now you can wash your baby’s cuddly pajamas in one compartment, while cleaning your kid’s muddy athletic uniform in another. Or you can dry a bulky load of towels at the same time as your favorite sweater. With FlexWash + FlexDry, laundry can now be handled the way you want, no matter your needs, according to Samsung Electronics.
Samsung is supporting FlexWash + FlexDry with an integrated marketing campaign that launches today and highlights the complexity, close relationships and unplanned nature of family life. Called “Live beautiful,” the campaign encompasses the belief that home is the most beautiful place on earth. “Live beautiful” presents real modern families – no actors here – to authentically demonstrate how laundry is an intrinsic part of their everyday life. Through an innovative split screen treatment that shows the families’ stories as they unfold, the campaign captures both the vibrancy and individuality of family life, and the ability of FlexWash + FlexDry to keep up with and cater to the ever changing face of the modern family. The “Live beautiful” television spot features the track “Just Another Day” by Lady Gaga, from her latest album Joanne. The campaign is running across television, print, digital and social.

The FlexWash lower washer features 5.0 cu ft capacity – the largest in its class – to handle the bulkiest of loads, saving you time. The additional top-load compartment provides another 1.0 cu ft. that is ideal for separate loads like light clothing, a favorite pair of jeans, or a toddler’s pajamas, to ensure your different types of clothes get the best possible care. Other proprietary Samsung laundry technologies like SuperSpeed™ and Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT) Plus™ add even more convenience, power and efficiency to the wash cycle.
Set up for FlexWash is easy with one standard water line hookup, making installation similar to any standard washer hookup. The upper washer is easy to reach and provides a comfortable surface for loading and unloading, while cycle status can be easily monitored through transparent glass. The laundry pair is also IoT-enabled, allowing you to monitor remaining cycle time, receive alerts when the cycle is complete and schedule cycles with a smartphone[2].
FlexDry can easily handle large loads and a few delicate items at the same time. The bottom compartment features 7.5 cubic feet, enough to handle even the biggest weekend laundry loads. Up top, an innovative delicate drying zone is specifically designed to handle your most delicate items, such as athletic wear or a silk scarf, which can be laid flat to gently dry. Additional fabric care power is provided by Samsung’s MultiSteam technology in the main dryer compartment, which freshens clothes and reduces odors and wrinkles.
Samsung FlexWash (models WV60M9900AV/A5 and WV55M9600AV/A5) is now available in black, stainless steel and white at major appliance retailers nationwide and online for a MSRP beginning at $1,599. Samsung FlexDry is available in both gas (models DVG60M9900V/A3 and DVG55M9600V/A3) and electric (models DVE60M9900V/A3 and DVE55M9600V/A3) in black stainless steel and white for a MSRP beginning at $1,599.
