The FINANCIAL — SAP NEWSBYTE – July 25, 2011 – To further support the rapid delivery of innovative on-demand solutions, SAP AG today announced Kevin Nix as the new head of Line of Business OnDemand Solutions.
Jointly with his team, Nix will oversee the development of people-centric on-demand solutions dedicated to various lines of business. This includes the already established SAP® Sourcing OnDemand and SAP® Sales OnDemand solutions, as well as solutions for travel expense and career management planned for launch over the course of the next 12 months.
Nix has more than 25 years experience in building enterprise software applications and creating successful software businesses. In this new role, he reports directly to Peter Lorenz, executive vice president, OnDemand Solutions, and corporate officer, SAP AG. Nix joined SAP in 2009 and first drove mobile initiatives prior to the acquisition of Sybase. He has since been one of the key contributors to the development of SAP Sales OnDemand.
Prior to joining SAP, Nix was CEO and co-founder of Skydata Systems, which built mobile business apps for smartphones and was acquired by SAP. Nix also spent 10 years as part of the founder’s circle at Siebel Systems where he ran customer relationship management products, mobile handheld solutions and industry products as group vice president of Industry Applications. During his career, Nix held various positions in marketing and sales as well as engineering and programming.
