The FINANCIAL — September is Responsible Business at the Radisson Blu Iveria hotel and at Radissons throughout the world.
On 21st of September the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel organized a Charity evening, which was hosted by our General Manager Michael Jacobi and his team. The event was attended by a host of Georgian and Foreign Businessmen, and members of Georgia’s high society. The aim of the Charity event was to raise funds for the Autism Society of Georgia and the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s Corporate Charity organization “Childhood Foundation”.
Speaking at the event, General Michael Jacobi said “Responsible Business is a part of our business culture and we embrace every opportunity to add value in the local community”
On the same day with the help of Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel and Autism Society of Georgia, money was raised for the Association of Child Neurologists and Neurosurgeons center in Tbilisi. The Center is a leader in research oriented towards the treatment of child neurological disorders, including physical, mental and behavioral. The Association focuses on social adaptation, reduced isolation and develops children to be active, independent and successful individuals through the use of behavioral therapy.
On August 22nd the Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel was awarded the coveted Green Key Eco-Label, an International award recognising successful achievements in energy saving and eco business initiatives. This award reflects the sense of responsibility an organization has for its surroundings and society. The hotel established an ambitious plan to obtain the Green Key certificate and implemented a range of environmental protection activities.
As part of their new Eco Label, the hotel continues to extend their effort towards growing the knowledge of environmental protection, recently visiting 5th and 6th graders in 6 schools. Team members explained to children the importance of saving electricity by introducing them to Carlson Rezidor Hotel ambitious program “Think Planet” and talked with them about other environmental issues such as waste reduction and water conservation. Â
Special Contribution was made by the artist, gold and silver medal laureate from the international academy Rusiko Chkvaidze, who has donated a beautiful painting which was auctioned that night. The proceeds of the auction were used to buy essential equipment for the behavioral development of children with physical, mental and behavioral challenges.Â
