The FINANCIAL — Minister of State for Europe and the Americas at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Sir Alan Duncan, on the sidelines of his official visit to Georgia, visited the village of Khurvaleti adjacent to the occupation line.
In Khurvaleti, the UK’s Minister of State familiarised himself with the heavy humanitarian situation resulting from the installation of barbed wire fences by the Russian occupation forces, met local population and discussed the existing problems, according to MFA of Georgia.
“I particularly wanted to come to the border line for myself and I think this is clear visible evidence of the way Russia is behaving. That is why, the United Kingdom fully supports Georgia. This is exactly that sort of threat that we are going to look at seriously and to address in the future together and in a unified way”, Sir Alan Duncan said.
