The FINANCIAL — SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, on October 27 officially opened its exclusive lounge at Hong Kong International Airport. The fourth in a growing offering of SkyTeam-branded lounges around the world, it is available to First and Business Class passengers and Elite Plus members flying on all 12 member airlines serving the airport.
The spacious facility of around 1,000 square meters can seat up to 230 passengers and has been designed to offer a range of high-end amenities. Features include: Yoga Room; noodle bar, offering cooked-to-order cuisine; and an iconic ‘Living Wall’ – a botanical feature comprising more than 50 different plant species – which brings a touch of nature to the travel experience at each of SkyTeam’s lounge around the world, according to Delta.
“Our goal is to invest in such shared facilities at airports around the world in order to deliver a consistent high level of service to our members’ customers as well as creating synergies to our members at airports served by multiple SkyTeam airlines,” said SkyTeam Managing Director Michael Wisbrun. “This exclusive lounge will provide for passengers a relaxing environment in which to unwind before catching their next flight.”
The new SkyTeam Exclusive Lounge in Hong Kong is located at Terminal 1 and is open daily between 5:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. In keeping with the alliance’s existing lounges at London Heathrow, Istanbul Ataturk, and Sydney International airports, available amenities also include work stations; numerous charging points for electronic devices; complimentary Wi-Fi access; shower facilities; a hot and cold buffet of international cuisine; and an extensive bar selection.
SkyTeam member airlines serving Hong Kong International Airport are: Aeroflot, Air France, China Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Garuda Indonesia, Kenya Airways, KLM, Korean Air, Vietnam Airlines and Xiamen Airlines.
The 12 members jointly offer over 183,000 seats every week from Hong Kong International Airport.
