The FINANCIAL — Located on Rustaveli Avenue, the supermarket Smart is offering significant discounts to loyal customers. From November 10 to December 10, any product at Smart will be sold with discounts of 10%.
“Smart is continuing to launch several promotional campaigns and product innovations for its loyal clients. Within this campaign, customers of Smart have the opportunity to purchase up to 30,000 products and about 150 ready meals at the lowest prices in Tbilisi,” Smart representatives noted.
“In the centre of Tbilisi, Smart encourages its customers to make their daily or weekly purchases in the comfortable environment offering a variety of cakes, biscuits, fresh meat and fish products, fruits, vegetables, European and local products,” Smart noted.
Smart Retail is a daughter brand of Wissol Group, one of the largest business groups in Georgia. Smart Retail was founded in 2010 and launched its first supermarket in Tbilisi on D. Aghmashenebeli Alley on 13th km in December of the same year.
“I do a supermarket shopping once a week spending about GEL 80-100. The Smart supermarket has a really nice location in the very centre of Tbilisi which gives me an opportunity to visit it any time I wish. Now that the prices are decreased by 10%, I will shop more and spend less,” said Manana Berulava, 35.
“In general discounts always attract people. I am visiting different supermarkets quite often, about two or three times per week. So I spend quite a lot of money buying different products. I often buy ready meals for my family, as we are all busy and preparing dinner is quite hard for us after a long working day. I am quite happy about the fact that Smart is offering decreased prices. I have already bought some products there at quite affordable prices,” said Natia Tomaradze, 38.
The Smart supermarket and integrated café on Rustaveli Ave. is open to customers 24 hours a day. In addition, the former Post Office building is enclosed by a parking lot on three sides, which ensures the convenience of parking up to 150 cars.

In addition, Wissol is planning to open a branch of Wendy’s in the same former Georgian Post Office, Wendy’s is the American multinational fast food chain restaurant, which will increase the number of people employed by both the Smart supermarket and the restaurant to over 300,” stated Smart.
Smart started developing its chain of supermarkets after monitoring and studying the retail food market in Georgia for two years. Smart keeps track of market analysis and engages consultants from various countries in its development strategy.
