Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo announced on July 3 that he is a proud new papa, according to People.
"It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy," the Team Portugal player writes on his Facebook page.
The identity of the baby's mother has not been revealed, and Ronaldo, 25 – who once linked with Kim Kardashian and counts nearly 6.5 million fans on the social networking site – says that he will he will raise the boy on his own.
"As agreed with the baby's mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential," he writes, "my son will be under my exclusive guardianship."
No further information was provided. 35,623 of his Facebook fans "liked" this announcement.
