The FINANCIAL — South Africa's trade deficit narrowed to 5.5 billion rand ($710 million) in March, government data showed Monday, led by higher exports from the mining sector.
According to Borsa Italiana – London Stock Exchange Group, the trade balance in Africa's largest economy fell ZAR2 billion from a deficit of ZAR7.5 billion in February, according to data from the South African Revenue Service.
South Africa's Reserve Bank is forecasting 3% growth this year, as global economic conditions improve.
