The FINANCIAL — On July 26, Speaker of Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov and SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev visited Georgia at the invitation of Georgian government to attend the opening ceremony of Tbilisi-2015 European Youth Olympic Festival held from July 26 to August 1.
Georgia’s preparation for the festival and its grandiose opening ceremony, as well as sport complexes and Olympic Village built for this event were highly appreciated during a meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili. The parties underlined that the Youth Olympic Festival resembles the 1stEuropean Games successfully held in Baku last month. New and modern standards created during these Games set the pattern for other European sport events, according to SOCAR.
Speaker Ogtay Asadov also visited SOCAR’s office in Tbilisi where he was welcomed by SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev and Director General of SOCAR Energy Georgia Mahir Mammadov. Ogtay Asadov got detailed information about SOCAR projects carried out in Georgia.
