Sustainable Energy Discussed at International Conference in Kyiv

The FINANCIAL — Policymakers and energy experts from 100 countries are taking part in the Ninth International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development in Kyiv, Ukraine. The participants will discuss the role of energy transition in sustainable development and opportunities for cooperation.

Transforming energy systems will require creative and innovative shifts in policy and regulation. The forum therefore offers a platform for honest and rational conversation about key challenges including energy security, fossil fuel dependence, lack of information and inadequate capacities to effect change.

The forum has been co-organised by the Government of Ukraine and the United Nations, in partnership with international partners including the European Commission.
