The FINANCIAL — Sydney Airport on June 1 welcomes Solomon Airlines’ new weekly Sydney-Honiara service, marking a new airline and new route for Sydney Airport.
“Sydney Airport is proud to welcome Solomon Airlines’ new service to Honiara, which is great news for Australian business and leisure travellers, as well as those visiting family and friends,” Sydney Airport managing director and chief executive officer Kerrie Mather said.
“The new route has been well timed to offer a direct service from Sydney to Honiara for travellers looking for a tropical winter getaway.
“It also provides more choice for passengers, expanding Sydney Airport’s network of international destinations from 44 to 45.”
Solomon Airlines will utilise its Airbus A320 on the new route, according to Sydney Airport.
Solomon Airlines is the national airline of the Solomon Islands headquartered in Honiara, with international services to Australia, Fiji and Vanuatu, and an extensive domestic network around the Solomon Islands.
